Whoops....You just had to go and put my plan B in the open huh! :wink:
I've been thinking about the same thing. The C20XE engines are about the same weight as the 4A-GE but two liters. They can be found at each streetcorner for little to no money. Tuning runs along the same path as the 4A-GE but obviously the C20XE keeps it 30hp advantage and gives better torque. I It tops out at around 250hp, some companies claim as much as 280bhp for the race engines. And then ofcourse...if the c20XE fits, so will the C20LET (calibra turbo engine). Nice little upgrade path there... They make pretty good sense. You just have to free yourself from the shackles of brand association and think big. How about the 2ltr engine from the E30M3?
