Same in the Netherlands as in Sweden.

Keep in mind that the crack is there for a reason: the metal underneath the windshield is probably rusting and pushing the window up. This is one of the known weaknesses of the AE86 and I (and many others) had exactly the same with our ae86s. Since your car isn't an AE86 but also from somewhere in the 80s it probably suffers from the same thing.
So once you are going to replace the windshield keep in mind you need to do a little bit of grinding and welding before you put a new window in there.
