RE: Scottish Trueno rebuild
GUESS WHAT GOT MOT'D!!!! so after 10 long months in the garage she has a clean bill of health. Hunting issue is sorted. Turned out it was a blocked water pipe at the rear of the engine and the throttle body spindle had a air leak. bit of a learning curve but its thats that. thanks for the help and input from everyone. finally had a spare day or so to drive it and it goes like a stabbed rat. holy shit. I'll get a video up in the next week or so when I'm back from work. Its one of the best going cars I've had. For NA i really wasn't expecting it to go as well as it does. I know these aren't the quickest cars in the world but straight line against a fiesta ST which are 150hp iirc, it left it for dust. THAT i wasn't expecting. so I'm over the moon to have it back. Just new tyres and wheels for Nurburgring in July and play around with suspension and ill be happy for now. ill concentrate on aesthetics next year i think and ill just drive it for now. Ill keep this thread going and update as i go along. |
