I have been looking at your colour more closely and I think it has potential. Take a look at the colour of pazza's car, looks nice and is similar to what you have. The trick to having a good looking car is choosing one scheme and sticking to it, not so much the colour.
Plusses when sticking to the original colour: Inside and outside match: looks better and is a deffinate bonus should the car become a classic some day. Missed spots (wheelwells, doorjams etc) are far less obvious. You don't have to have your carpapers changed ($$) You have to do less preparation to the car. You don't have to go through the whole process of primering, sanding etc etc. This means you save money on the primer and the paint guy can concentrate immediately on painting lots of layers of coloured paint and possibly a couple of layers of clearcoat. The endresult will be a top paintjob in the original colour instead of a mediocre one in another colour. It should also have more of a "deep" effect. Put the money you save on expensive pearl etc paints in a fund to finance a set of dark watanabe or konigs. All imho of course. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
