I have a few model kits of the 86, I've been collecting diecast models for a long time (I made a thread about my diecast collection too) and have ended up buying the occasional plastic kit to go with them. The occasional plastic kit for nearly 20 years has led to me having quite a few kits, so I've decided to build some of them. There's a few specific cars I've seen over the years that I want to build models of but I've decided to start with a standard UK spec car.

Having got this kit for my birthday last year, I'm starting with this:


I haven't built a model in a while, looks daunting:

I don't know why, but I think gold is the colour for this job.
A friend works in a paint shop and was kind enough to mix a can of Toyota 4E1 Topaz metallic:


Going UK spec, so decals went on accordingly:


Let me know if this is extremely stupid and inappropriate for this forum. Otherwise I'll continue the build when I get time. I already have some cool surprise parts that I think will make this a good project.
