Amayama came back with an expected delivery date of the 19th, so it will take another week to arrive. Unfortunately, the mechanic is on holiday as of this Thursday, so it will take at least another month before the fuel pump will be installed.

The rebuild of the engine got out of hand due to various reasons and this makes me wonder if it would still be viable to offer the Carina up for sale. I probably could still run manage to not loose to much on it when offered for sale for 8-9K with all parts, but I doubt any is sane enough to buy a car with clearly visible rust on the front fenders (even though I do have spares) and some other places as well. I could tackle those spots as well, but I'm afraid it ends up as a concourse car that nobody wants to buy because I have to ask more then 10K for it. There has been a second-generation Carina GL for sale in Germany with an asking price of 13K. It has not shifted well over a year now and there clearly is no interest in such a car. So investing more before selling sounds to me like a very unwise move.
