I dunno if it's teh right topic, but here are the few mods on my Ae86. Brakes are genuine , but i use Blue Pagid rs4. I buy Celica Gt4 and have to cut them to suit ae86 caliper. Same for rear. I have an hydraulic handbrake , which is absolutly necessary.
Engine is full... original, and count about 250.000km. No oil and water consumption , indeed very reliable . ON suspension front spring are 2mm (dia) bigger and are lower.Shocks are blue Tockico., i have a 2mm bigger front stab rod. LOwer arms are Celica ta 40 1mm longer. For performance, i only had a 5,3:1 final gear ratio.I said had , as it brokes on last rally. Rims are 7x15" ( with 2mm wheel spacer)with Bridgestone 195/55/15 on front and Firestone FZ80 195/50/15 on rear. EXhaust is 2" dia , and it's sufficient to have lot of fun at rallying with a good reliability.I 'm not compétitive with other car like we havehere in rallies like Opel Corsa Gsi , Peugeot 106 , Citroen Saxo . But at the final championship, i'm regulary in the 3 first places . For those who dislike the mint green Toy , i bought this car like that , and that's the only one i know in that colour . Important is in the box , and at wheel drive Fil h Filh Save the RWD cars |
