Yeah, I know all this. The italians did fantastic job back then.
I ment it is pretty impressive in a more theoritical way. Fuel prices go up, oil supplies are constantly reducing and still we see more and more turbo engines! And know "twin" turbo? Even, has the super-turbo-charged 1.4 FSI such low emissions that it's choosen to replace the old "not-acceptable" 1.8 20v Turbo? Toyota stopped producing Previa, Celica and MR2 in America (from 2006 also in Europe) because such cars made the average emmisions of the brand higher! And VW gets a twin charged middle weight car?
