Mobile.de is a german site, and RDW is a dutch organisation, so was it a dutch car on mobile.de, or is the german car&license authority called RDW as well? I can imagine yellow plates having a diffrent meaning if it's for germany (never seen a german car with yellow plates before). In holland it's just the regular color for licencse plates.
