I really dont see what your doors have to do with anything, are you getting your seatbelt stuck between the doors maybe
 But on a more serious note; if those seatbelts dont work properly the best thing to do is probably to get some that do...safety first. It's normal that they dont retract the last bit when they are hanging loose, they often get stuck between the door because of this, but usually when you put the seatbelt on it will work fine.
