apardal..sorry but don't take everything taka or moto say as gospel. There is no way to get a shell stiffer then through a rollcage. Just take a look at the cages present in WRC or touring/DTM cars. You don't need those elaborate tube constructions in case of a rollover, just a couple will do. They are there for body stifness purposes.
It is true that most of the cages sold on the market are in fact "just a couple of tubes" and offer only roll-over protection. A true cage should be thought out extensively and connected to the body at as many places as possible. The difference is quite shocking.
