RoninMax Wrote:For me, It is the History behind it. For the era of AE86, They are well known in the race world. JTCC, FIA Group A, Group N, Macau 1600 etc. AE86 is dominated all those races. Back in the days that I can purchase a AE86 for 800 USD in 1995, but now...................... It's so great to here someone in this country that is aware of the ae86's accomplishments outside of drifting or bodykits or cartoons. lol By any chance do you(or anyone else reading this) have a link or resource with more information about the ae86's racing past and accomplishments? I have searched and searched and searched and the only thing I can find is a few scattered mentions and word of mouth from other people(almost none of which being ae86 drivers/enthusiasts interestingly enough..). As for why I got an ae86.. well I needed something with a roof and backseats so that eliminated the miata and mr2's. ae86 popped up forsale and it was abit of a spur of the momment purchase. I like to think of it as a more practical Cosworth Escort rs1600 BDA. |
