Hi Kipsy, I have used some strong cable ties to stop front spring dislocation on my 86 but I'm not sure they are strong enough.... was going to find out tonight on the Wessex road rally but it's been cancelled !
The handling of the car seems very odd and I'm putting it down to the front springs being about 15mm shorter than the strut leading to spring dislocation. The car is very 'pointy' but also seems to 'float' especially on undulating roads, it is fine over the very rough stuff. It is running new Bilsteins all around with 190lb springs front and approx 160's rear. Could it be wheel alignment ? I have a very small amount of front toe out. What do you think ?
