Very true, I have only read about people who claim to have seen this. So it is second hand info and you never know what the real story behind it was, for all I know the mounts broke off because of other problems (like being rusted through or something).

Still looking at them I don't find the story unbelievable, there must be some wicked forces on those tiny pieces of metal. Seeing that I really don't see the added benefit of having coilovers in the rear unless you're doing some proffesional racing, I don't think its worth the money to run the risk of it being true
