I think you underestimate the drivability and low RPM torque of a stock 3SGTE. A stock 2.gen 3SGTE has peak torque of 304NM@3200rpm vs. a MAP 4AGZE's max torque of 206NM@4400rpm. It's two totally different animals. :wink: (now if you put on a huge turbo instead it's a different story, but to compare apples to apples..) However I totally agree that an 4AGZE would be an exellent match for the AE86.
