Yeah I got the same problem in my current daily driver. Its f*#&$ing cold inside.
Have you checked if your cable is atually conected to the valve undet the bonnet? if not, you can turn it on, from undet the bonnet. I changed the thermostat, but it still didnt change anything. But when I got the car, the radiator was stuffed, and patched up with some kind of play doe, and there was a bottle of radiator-leak-fix in the boot, so I'm thinking 'IT' together with some other stuff that may have broken off the radiator, has clogged up the heat exchange for the heater.
