excessive blowby?
I have a GT-S I just bought,
said to have a rebuilt 4age. It has ALOT of problems. The coolant by-pass in the rear is broken off and blocked off. All of the vacuum lines except for PCV and Brake booster are blocked off or gone. EGR removed and blocked. all new toyota parts were used in the rebuild. It was idling fine around 750rpms and running good till one night when it started hesitating really bad around 3k-4k. I unpluged the TPS sensor and it went back to running fine. A ongoing problem is the excessive crankcase pressure. I've watched my dipstick fly out (Hood isn't installed yet) and land ontop of the engine a few times. Then I change a heaterhose I saw leaking refilled with coolant/water and it now idles high around 2.5k rpms. with the throttle cable unhooked... i have no idea. I poured water on the intake manifold and it could be leaking on the gasket to the head. all other vacuum ports are blocked and it seemed to run like a perfectly normal 4ag before hand. i know i should keep the emissions stuff and keep everything stock under the hood because the 4ag is a nice engine but i got it this way and parts arn't easy to find for the rwd. what are the must have vacuum lines and what else could i be over looking, anyone have a vacuum diagram? |
