Doc,

Whats the last good 4x4 sportscar Toyota made then? (not counting their trucks which still are brilliant but not usefull for rallying).

Also with rallying the last good car Toyota made was build mid 90ies or something?

Lets face it, Toyota left its racing pedegree since then and went the eco route. It'll take them a long while to catch back up, and probably some important internal changes before the technical people can go all out again.

That said, they have shown with some of the Lexus models that they can build promising cars....

Reluctantly I have to agree with NoHachi, Honda's the only Japanese brand still building thoroughbred production sports cars (S2000, NSX). All though Mazda shows promise aswell with the MX5 and possibly the follow up to the RX7 thats rumoured to be released soon.
