Sorry, I naturally meant the ring and pinion. Our 99 v6 mustang had the "rear end" replaced at only 70k miles. And it was driven by a girl...
Expensive repair, but it is a difference between night and day now. It drives like a new car! If you want to build up your car, you'll have to ensure the drivetrain is sorted first. I was aiming at ford guys on the forum that said that they let some shop install gears (go from a 3.55 to 4.10) and they ended up with whining rear end. A good install / rear end does not whine... Don't ever let people tell you otherwise But I'll let the real AE nuts take over from here... :wink: Justice to All |
