your problems sound familiar. in austria you are only allowed to register cars from other countries if they are not older than 1996. if they are older than that you have to do a "single-registration". this means you have to do all sorts of testing which costs a lot! maybe its similar in the new eu-countries?
the nice part of this is you get this registration for only this particular car. if your friend wants to register exactly the same model he has to do all the testings again ... very nice maybe you can solve the euro2 problem by mounting a catalytic converter. if thats the only problem for registering it might be enough. ... do not have any bether idea, sorry.... |
