In any case, the oil will just lubricate the guides even more, wont cause any additional wear at all... EDIT: plus valve guides aren't a common problem on these engines AFAIK. But the stem seals are. So my recommendation would be to change them and see what happens. At least, if you get the morning startup puff and smoke leaving from a stop. But then nothing else during normal driving. (which are signs that it's bad valve stem seals)
