I thought the genral consensus was that Ring laps are fairly easy on brakes and tires and if you're killing them you're not flowing with the circuit? There was a dark blue Manthey racing fettled GT3 there looking through the photos with reg S1 HPC. This guy races a GT3 RS in the VLN there and took me round Oulton Park in the same HPC car, and he, and the club he instructs through (HPC) maintain that there's little tire and brake wear there as far as I remember...

I know the M5 I did a lap in and passengered in there had knacked brakes and you could pedal it along pretty well...

I'd also take a wild guess on a dry track unless your 86 was making pretty serious power it'd be screaming it's tits off flat out for most of the lap, I found it deceptively fast.
