Have a read of this site, and this site.
http://www.billzilla.org/4agmods.htm http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/phil.bradshaw/INDEX.HTM Buy a smallport or 20v, whatever you can get cheapest, then strip it completely, throw out pistons, rods, cams, cam pulleys, bolts and other miscellaneous items. Go to performance shops and empty wallet on table for machining and performance parts. In short, there won't be a cheap way of doing it if you're keeping it NA. Also, you can easily put ITBs on a 16v, many have done it including myself. I would go with Ivan on this one - much research, time, and money. Not a bolt on mods type of job. Good luck. Chris |
