Possible import tax / duty minimisation?
From a tax point of view its cheaper to import parts than a whole car. There may also be other legistlation that makes it difficult for these cars being imported into Switzerland? Quite a few car makers have done this in thepast to get around various duty and import taxes when shipping to another country - cars are re assembled once they arrive. http://www.eight-six.co.uk - read the blog!
