Meet at the ring
Hey guys! As mentioned in the BBQ tread a few of us danes are going to the ring. We plan to go 4th april since this is a long weekend for us Wink

The ring is opened on the 6th and 7th from 8.00 - 19.30 so there will be plenty of time to drive and look at other cars. We plan to drive home some time saturday...

It would really be great if some of you would meet us here :!:

Meet at the ring
Djex,

The ring is no place to experiment with a hachi mate, you should drive there only if you're fully comfortable with your car and if its your first time there, definately take it slow and easy.

Jan, make sure you guys come to the BBQ aswell huhBig Grin

I'll see if Tim has time that weekend, if so I will join then but come without my hachi..

Greetz,

Bastiaan "mux213" Olij

Moved down under, no more hachi Sad

Meet at the ring
yea i know mux. It's not that i want to give it 100% overthere but you play a little more than on the public roads. Every corner in The Hague are parked cars etc.

But maybe your right.. better to try things on a big empty parking place and after that go to zandvoort.

Meet at the ring
trust meDJexor..if you've never been there..I would advise against playing with your car..
I got some nasty scares when I was driving there, and I was taking it alot easier than I usually do on track (on my brothers advice).
Youre liable to crash your car there even if you think your being carefull.
There is little margin for error, because there are no gravel-traps..just barriers and trees.

Best thing would be to drive like a tourist for the first few laps..and if you can take it easy..take someone who knows the track with you, cause some of the warnings and advices can save your car.

Meet at the ring
Haha, usually, first timers at the ring have some kind of accident. The question is only if you do any damage or not..luckily most people just spin out or crawl onto a curb. The dumb ones don't realise that they were lucky, the smart ones adjust their driving styles and go on to have many fun and safe laps.

I'll try to see whether I can find some time to visit. It will probably be with the Volvo though. Come to think of it..there are some nice big open parking places in the area..might want to bring something else.

you guys are right. i don't want to take my hachi to NL like the owner of Trust had to do with his Porsche Carrera GT (distroyed by some guy who should only park the car for him)

Take it there anyway, plenty of parkingspaces I believe and you're always welcome to do passenger laps in our 100bhp volvo slowboat.
