« The King of Europe Drift Edition »
Hello guys,
Following the fast growing of Toyo King of Europe drag challenge which will be the biggest european ¼ mile drag event of the year 2005, and following several requests of some drifter friends, we have decided to give « King of Europe » a little brother called : « The King of Europe Drift Edition » 2005 will be the year of the Drift in Europe, and based on the same organisation and promotion rules as « Toyo King of Europe », we want to make this drift event, the biggest event of the year in Europe and we hope you will support us to make it real ! The event will be a 1 day event, around september 2005 (event will be even better with some rain), the event will be located on a belgian famous track (still waiting for track owner agreement). Belgium is the center of Europe and will be the ideal place to get all the best european drifters to come there. So, all the best european drifters but also we will try to catch some crazy japanese drifters from D1 GP to come over to get some exclusive stuff for « King of Europe Drift Edition ». Feel free to preregister to show your interest on this challenge, check it out at : http://www.kingofeurope.net See you, Mike. Saw this on the Dutch Supra forum, King Of Europe is a big Dragevent for 2005 (With the Swedens' 350 bhp AE86 also competing), they are planning a drift event! Do they intend to use the emergencybrake the whole time, or are we going to be surprised by real FWD drifting. Perhaps someone intends to do a FWD drift by using understeer. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Banpei,
No kidding mate, I forget where it was posted but I saw this guys doing some serious drifting in a civic. Sure its alot of assdragging but it still looked amazing, my hat off to that guy. Also dont forget the little FWD hatchbacks like the civic but also most of the french stuff like clio's can generate some naste lift off oversteer that when used correctly can be used for some very neat looking drifts.. So dont write off FWD drifting just yet, may not be as spectacular as RWD drifting, but its not without technique either. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

mux213 Wrote:Banpei,I've seen some drifting with an Honda Accord without applying the handbrake, so I know it's possible and looks good... But I'm afraid this FWD drifting will attract the wrong type of people. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
