15" wheels

Does anyone know of a standard car fitment 15" wheel that will fit an AE86 ?
I don't want to go to the expense of after market wheels and I have tried Nissan S13 rims but they needed spacers on the front to fit.
Some people have used 1.9 205 GTi (ET18 offset) wheels on Escorts and as a last resort I'm prepared to re-drill the hubs to fit these if necessary.

I've heard that Mitsubishi wheels might fit but never tried that myself.

Celica Supra 15 inch will fit nicely.
But some say they are not the most desirable type...

I know these are quite common in 14s but have never seen a set for sale in 15"

Mitsubishi's have larger center bore 67.1 AFAIK.
Nissan has 66.1
Many Civics ran 4x114 around those years, 15 also, but they CB is 64.1.
Volvo and Saab used 4x114 10-20+ years ago

AE86 runs 60.1

I think Suzuki Swifts from '90ties used same CB. But not sure about offset.

Consider that most FWD cars used 35-45 offset. Swift is not the case, Suzuki made them for "rwd like" offset.

That's because nobody keeps them and sends them to the scrapyard.

More seriously: they have been sold in smaller quantities as the P-Type (performance) Celica Supra was the one with the 14 inch and was sold with these throughout the production run. While the L-Type (luxury) switched from 14 inch pizzacutters in 1985 to 15 inch Celica Supra rims. So naturally they are more scarce. Still: they are less wanted than the 14 inch as they are 1 inch thinner in width and have a less desirable offset.

Further to this does anyone know what the largest diameter tyre that can be used ?
I'm entering a series of particularly 'rough' rallies and I need as much ground clearance as possible.
The suspension is currently riding about 10mm higher than stock.

That pretty much depends on your suspension setup (actual travel you get under load etc...) - also I'm not sure how many different tire sizes you can get (assuming you use some 'special' gravel tires) might be easier to go from there...

205/50 R15 on stock suspension, that's 586mm in circumference.
For dirt rally, i presume you will go 195 or narrower, but i guess circumference cann't go much above 600mm.

Thanks Guys, tyres will be as narrow as possible and 185/65/15 or 175/70/15 both come in at 630mm diameter.
I can raise the suspension a further 15mm if required.
