4 Link setup and Traction brackets
I've been looking into research for setting up my rear end to reduce vibration (assumed to be caused by pinion angle, but not certain) and I believe that a good set of adjustable 4 links should help with this to make sure the pinion is matching in alignment with the rear of the transmission.

However, what I'm looking into until I can shell out money to buy the 4 links is getting some traction brackets to help with the stability side of things. What I wanted to know is, will they have a negative impact on the pinion angle? I'm not brilliant with geometry, but if I imagine it correctly, using the standard length lower links with traction brackets would cause the pinion angle to sit up a little as it would be pulling the bottom of the axle closer to the front?

Could someone correct me if I'm wrong? If not, will this have a positive impact on my situation like I'm thinking it should?

I assume you lowered your car? If yes that had a similar (albeit the oppsite) influence as traction brackets Wink

Traction brackets when installed with some care don't have an influence on pinion angle. It can if you don't take time and stabilize the axle so it doesn't move (and do one side at a time).

Do the brackets with 4 links at the same time and it won't matter as you set it up all in one shot.

Following installation of traction brackets and OEM engine mounts, the vibration seems to be fairly leveled out and there's no wheel hop like their used to be. I think some extra work could be done to remove the vibration completely but it's certainly far more bearable than before.

If I'm not mistaken he still uses the OEM 4-Links
