Factory power mirror loom
Can someone with factory fitted power mirrors, please post a picture that clearly shows exactly where the loom exits the shell and enters the door? I have been trying to work it out for a while and just now saw some pictures on ebay which give some clues.
Thanks! |

Hmmm, should have done that one day earlier: could have taken pictures then.
As I can recall it is somewhere just above the door hinge 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

You don't have a hole in the door post for it to go through?

After the hint I got from an ebay photo, if I look in the footwell I can see this the largish circle, which i suspects needs to be drilled out to take the grommet. |

Drivers side (RHS) factory fitting as far as I know. My car didn't have
electric mirrors originally, but the owner before me fitted them, and he was the type of guy to do things properly Sorry about the crap picture, but I couldn't open the door any further in the garage Cheers... jondee86 The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. That's fantastic Jondee86. I think I am a bit like the guy you bought your car off. I want it to be exactly right. Thanks for making the effort!
