4A GTE Big Grin

Many people will have a different opinion on this. 4AGZE has alot more torque at low revs meaning in theory you can get it sideways more easily at low revs while with a turbo or tuned NA you need to bring it to higher revs. This in theory could make a GZE more versatile

However, the drawback is that due to the nature of the supercharger, its top rev is lower, around 6500 rpm? And all the torque is gone at those rpms.
A tuned NA or turbo is capable of much higher RPMs and reaches the required torque at these higher RPMs. So you'll end up drifting at full throttle, which is what crowds love.

I think for drifting, NA or Turbo would be the 'better' if there is such a thing. For short track, auto-X or gymkhana, the wide power band and torque at low revs with a supercharger, can really outshine.

Well here in El Salvador we just have one track Crying El jabali and it has a lot of curves some of they are slow and some are fast so here we drift in the streets maybe you're right if i fit a turbo on the 4A-GE but one question what would be the best turbo kit to fit on it...?

there are so many turbos about it would impossible to pinpoint one turbo as "best"
what sort of power do you want? the toyota ct26 which comes on the celica turbo and gt4 is easy to find and cheap, would spool up mega quick as its only small
there are lots of turbo cars about now so i would look at the most common turbo fitted to cars around you
or choose a manifold from a manufacturer and then get a turbo to fit it

other things to consider are cooling, serious oil cooler required to keep temps in check as the turbo feed off the oil system and the rad system will need an overhaul also

drivetrain, clutch and box are going to need attention if you want it to last long, probably including a new clutch master cylinder, those old seals dont like clutch kicks Crying

just like Mux213 say 4agze if your drifting, but to get the most of the 4agze you'll need to use a 4.1 final gear then you can stay at the rev band much longer.
