4AGE camshafts (again)
It was using a fair bit of oil before I took it off the road.

There is also evidence of oil around the intake manifold ports when I took that off last week.

"I was going to get a hold of some Supertech valve guides instead of crappy ones you get pattern part gasket sets."

I guess you mean valve stem oil seals Alex ?
If so then I would use genuine Toyota ones.

If you did mean valve seals I think I still have a set or even too genuine Toyota ones lying around.

When it comes to the HG, even though i'm going to get it bored to 81.5mm can I still get away with a 81mm bore gasket?

Cheers

I've got some photos of my bearings if anyone is interested...

One of the main ends is a bit half and half, but i'll measure the crank journal to check its in tolerance before I do anything.

Hope people like my uncomplicated numbering system lol

Just a little update...

I have finally measured my deck to piston shoulder height and it is around 0.2 to 0.17mm. The block deck is in good condition so will not be decking it. I will be using a 0.0036" Cometic Metal Head Gasket

All that's needed now is to disassemble the head, take the block apart again and take it to a machinists.

I'll then try and afford the camshafts Smile
