4age stock bigport on turbo
Hi there, I have a almost stock 4age bigport bluetop with AFM originaly bought in Switzeland but with no cat. Engine is stock but 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and under axle silincer system. It has egr removed and HKS fcon + HKS gcc controller piggyback ecu.
THis ecu is mainly fot turbo and SC aplications from I know. I would like to know how much turbo press is safe and reliable to run with an engine on this spec and on OE gearbox and axle. Would be a better option a SC route? I have a brand new IHI turbo sitting arround and I guess it would be cheaper for me the turbo way. I dont expect a huge amount of power, just a little more torque and few bhp to have more fun on track. I run 185 on the rear. Thanks in advance, Cheers |

4age stock bigport on turbo
The hks supercharger kit for 4age ran something of 6/8 psi i believe on a stock 4age but its hard to find info on it.
if you can read japanese here is the brochure You could also swap in pistons from a 4agze or to source, excellent beginning for turbo or supercharger route |

np
I actually have the same idea of higher compression with low boost. The hks kit would be perfect for you but they are so rare. 6-8 psi is a safe number then i think,im trying to find the exact number the supercharger kit ran but its hard if you cant read japanese. |

Sure it is hard!
I was planning on a eaton m45 from a mini or a mercedes with the mini mechanical bypass valve, but this SC is allways a bit more expensive than i want to invest and I cant find one on my local scrapy (they only sell complete engine) So due to I have a new turbo behind the bed i was thinking on this route. yeah tbh i wouldnt go the m45 route, will be buckets of money.
If you are a supercharger fan like me id suggest finding a 4agze and going from there, but it still wont be cheap. if you manage things with that ecu the cheapest will be a small turbo with low boost i think on youre current setup |
