4agze question
Hi mates, im rebuilding this engine but i dont have the external thermostat housing that works on this kind of engine. The propper one is unable/impossible to locate here in Spain.

Do you know another model car what have the same type of thermo housing or another that could do the same work?

Or dies anyone have one on sale?

Cheers

Why not use the OEM 16V water pump housing?

It has the thermoestat housing behind it with the water outlet. Smile

4agze question
Two answers Smile
1. If you are using the block without the supercharger.
The 4AGZE and 16V smallport blocks are the same apart from the
position of the knock sensor. If you have all the water parts from
a RWD TVIS AE86 engine you can swap them directly onto the GZE
block. You just need to use the RWD crank pulley, water pump and
pulley (if you use the OEM fan) and the RWD alternator and bracket.

I have used this setup for years and there is no problem. The only
modification required is to re-route the water hard lines where they
pass the knock sensor on the AE92 smallport block. If you are using
a GZE block the knock sensor will be higher up and no modification
will be required.

2. If you are using the block with the supercharger.
I think that you will need the external thermostat setup as there is
not a lot of room behind the supercharger. The GZE FWD waterlines
run in behind the charger, but the remote thermostat housing lays
on top of the gearbox.

Be worth a look though, as the RWD hard lines lie close to the block,
and it might just work Smile

Maybe you can find something suitable from another FWD Corolla that
you can modify to work with the GZE,
