possible with a standard blue top bottom end ?

What is the maximum valve lift
well I run 9mm lift cams on a standard bottom end. Heard of Bill (billzilla) he had a 9.4mm lift on standard engine.

I'm running toda 288 8.5mm lift with stock bottom end and stock buckets ....
I would say if you have the buckets sorted and the head machined for high lift cams to clear there is no limit in lift ..... the engine might become intrusive ( if you break the cambelt your screwed) but apart from that, I don't see any limit ..... |

What is the maximum valve lift
you can run any cam on a stock bottom end... its the cylinder head that needs the attention to (mechanically) run a wild cam.
Stock valve springs... are said to bind somewhere close to 8.0mm of valve lift (not cam lift... valve lift will be less - the amount of the clearence) I recommend doing some study on dynamic compression ratio, and how cam duration/timing can affect DCR. Concerning lift... besides spring bind at about 8mm, there is also the bucket towers... somehwere @ or near 10mm of cam lift the bucket towers need to be machined so the cams can turn in their journals Dan - You can |  .... Not sure what it requires....
...but if you are asking if I would attempt to do this... I'd say, nope... let a professional machinist do it. The key(GUESSING) is knowning how much cam passes, so you can determine how much tower needs to be shaved.... Dan - You can | .... the highest i seen was 10.80mm lift from toda... im only using 8.9mm by toda but i do have a toda valve train
