hey , yes normally they run into the intake piping. but i rather the oily air just go out rather than back into the intake, and from what i see i dont have much blowby so not much of anything comes out of them

ae86ca18det Wrote:hmm lets see , all you need is oil pump and pan from a 5m motor, for motor mounts use existing ae86 chassis mounts just cut them off the subframe shorten them a few CM and the weld them close together about 5 cm, and trans mount was not that bad, wiring is easy for this motor, and other than that shes a great fit , jsut gott do the radiator a little leaned forward if u wanna fit fans, all and all i hope she will be alive soon, thanks for the thoughts kyle

So you have to shorten the mounts because the motor will sit too high? just trying to find out the purpose of doing that.

Why did you have to reweld the mounts closer together? also is there no room for the 7m oil pump and oil pan? is that why you used the 5m?

whats up man? I have a 91 supra with the 7mgte, and i also have an extra complete 7mgte. I absolutely love the ae86 and was browsing around looking info on the swap. I just finished rebuilding the 7mgte in my supra. just got it runnning a couple days ago.

couple questions.
---where you have the two little breather filters on where the PCV pipe should go worries me a little bit. the whole point of the PCV was to make a vacuum from the intake chamber towards the air intake. Its purpose is to carry the access air back into the intake making the motor "Volumetric efficient". Instead of an oil catch can, you'll prob have to be replacing those breather filters alot. Because it now acts as the oil catch can.
-- What is done to the outlet were the PCV pipe comes out of the intake chamber?
--What is the wieght differences / proportions in replaceing the stock motor with the 2 extra cylinder 7MGTE?
---Is the motor balanced good?
---whats the specs on that ct26? upgraded? stock?

Ill be throwin more questions later, but Beautiful motor build, and awesome swap man. Its really turnin out nice.

just a few more pics, i have not updated in a while , but to answer a few questions, to be honeast i really dont feel the extra wieght up front compared to when i had my ca18det in the hachi, but it handles very good, then again i have EVERY suspension part made for the car, the engine is very well built and balanced very well, extremely smooth all the way to redline, the turbo is still stock but basically brand new, im have not upgraded it yet due to im only running .5 bar and the moment and the ct26 handles that just fine, once i get my rear end set up ill change the turbo, injectors and throw on my lexus MAF, as for the breathers on the top of the valve cover, i have honestly ad not a single problem with them im sure ill have to clean them eventually, but so far i have seen that i have very little blow by so they are doing there job just fine.

aight man, keep an eye on em. Its also designed to more or less to force ventilate through the vacuum on the tubes.

but it doesn't take much to beef up that 7M its not so much a money pit for the rebuild. i just put $1800 into it with performance mods before the HG blew. I have the ct26 with the 60-1 upgrade with a t3 oil channel. it came with the car, but it'll go in a year or so. I have 550's, lex AFM, massive IC, all new engine vacuum hoses, coolant hoses, High pressure hoses, all new gaskets, new valve seals, timing belt, new radiator with built in oil cooler, rad hoses, hardware, HKS SSQ, LSD, short throw, HKS PFC F CON and piggybacking HKS GCC. I will hopefully be pushing 380 to 400 with gobs of torque after the break in period.

Side note, the 7M responds excellent to exhaust modifications.

so beef that chassis up and give her hell. An AE86 thats super light with a sturdy 400 hp with a 7M. That would be kick ass man.

the reason i used the 5m oil pump and oil pan was the 7m is a mid sump style pan and it would sit right on the subframe, and i moved the body mounts closer together to use the existing 7m motor mounts, then when i went to the cusco motor mounts which are made for a sr20 i had to shorten the 7m motormounts about a CM to compensate for the larger cusco motor mounts,

Dude, the mounts were made for the 4AGE, obviously the 7M is a different engine and the mounting positions are different Tongue

4AGE yeaaaah, i have adjustable Cam Gears and i`m pushing 76.3 rwhp on the dyno !
