Finally a bit of progress!
Didn't think that exterior parts would be the hardest to find of everything that was missing Undecided But i finally found lights.
When looking for lhd lights i got offered a set with a rusty Charmant attached to it (Don't worry won't scrap it, will be build as a drift car), so now i should have everything Charmant related to get this one complete.
Now its mostly ordering parts and completing the swap, hopefully i can get it on the road before the end of the year.

It's a good thing you have enough room for cars that come attached to your new headlights Smile.
Would love to see it in the flesh sometime soon.

Seeing those boxes, now I'm wondering what you purchased from Up Garage... Dumb question

Haha yeah i luckily have more then enough space right now Tongue
I always try to go to JCS, so probably have it with me there. Maybe some other meets but not a fan of most.
Perhaps Banpei can organise an AEU86 meet next year? Angel

Sounds like a great idea once the whole lockdown business is finally over! It's difficult to organize meetups when every 4 to 5 months there is a lockdown. I already agreed to meet up with a few guys from the UK in May and that all fell to pieces as well... Undecided

That makes a lot of sense indeed! Thumbs up!
I tried to hang on to the boxes my Almex rims were stored in, but they took up too much space in my garage and I had to let go of them. Sad

Installed all the parts back on it so i don't have to look at a shell.
I'm already glad that i bought this. Some of the parts are in better condition then on the other one and also has some of the other missing stuff Hurray!

Yeah no point in planning anything yet, probably have to cancel it anyway Undecided

Some of the original bolts for the front end where either missing or crusty looking so i replaced them.
Good thing that i've kept all the bolts from MX5's that I parted, nothing better then bolts that factory's use IMO.

Was distracted with my Miata and had some setbacks with finding parts again (Seems like a trend with this thing Undecided) so didn't make alot of progress.

Plans changed a bit for now, decided to put back a 4AC in it to get it back on the road. Stupid that I didn't think about it earlier Banging head I had everything to plug and play an 4AC engine, only was missing the long block. So started to look for one and only found a crusty AT160 Celica with one. Because I had every rwd part for it it didn't matter that it was a fwd engine.
20v is still the plan in the end but I want to do that swap the right way and not do it halfassed now just to get it on the road.

Test fit in the car, ofcourse fits like it should.

Because everything clutch related was missing i was looking for a braided softline from master to slave off the shelf, but couldn't find anything in Europe and getting it shipped from US was 100usd in shipping alone.. Undecided
Gladly i saved the hardlines from MX5's and the clutch hardline is almost a perfect fit.
Also bought a new master and slave cilinder.

Parts car to the rescue again, this was missing on the tank.

Fuel tank went back in, ofcourse with new fuel hoses.

Pulled the engine back out so I can install the clutch and gearbox.

Also replaced the subframe with a cleaner one that came with the shell, connected the steering shaft and tighten all the bolts in the suspension.

And back in.

Tank, rack and other crusty looking parts will be restored/replaced when the 20V goes in. Just want to get it driveable asap.

Put some tyres on the 7.5" Mk1's to test fit on the rear, still not filling the arches completly how I like but will do for now.
Really love how it sits right now.
