AE86 Project from El Salvador

Hello to all. I'm new to the forum, and basically to the AE86 also.

I was in love with the car since long time ago, but wasn't able to get one for any reason. On 2005 i saw a car driven by a lady, and from street sights I was able to tell that it was in good condition. El Salvador is a small country, so is usual to get by the same cars time and time again.

One day i was at the supermarket, and the car was in the parking lot. I came closer and inspected it. To my surprise it was a very healthy car on the body side, with the usua problem: cracked dash. In that very moment the owner was coming out, and I ask her if she would sell it, and she said no. I said, well, if you ever sell it, please let me know (and handled her my info card).

On february 2006 she called me telling me that she was gonna let it go. By march I was in possesion of the car, but just after 5 days of having fun with it and driving it, the engine passed away Probably the driving styles where really different

I swapped another 4AG and away we go. Changed some bits and pieces to have an even reliable car. Car has been running great since.

Problems of the car when bought:

[*]Passenger's side mirror broken
[*]Door panels in bad condition
[*]Broken corner lamps and broken eye lids
[*]A few dents and scratches here and there[/list:u]

I don't have pics of the AGX adjustable shocks FF and RR and Battle Version's panhard bar, 4 link bars and NRCA's, Carbon Fiber radiator shroud and titanium spin knob.

The car was being prepared for the very first Drift show in my country, so I bought all that stuff. Unfortunately for me, the engine is too little for the big and wide curves of the track, so I was told to either supercharge or turbocharge it. I'm leaning towards the SC option right now, since is a little bit cheaper. Maybe later on i will go turbo.

Finally, here are a couple of pics of the car being driving by Vaughn Gittin Jr, one of the best drifters in USA. He and Chris Forsberg where the ones responsible for introducing Drift to El Salvador





Now what's next:
Fixing the interior and changing the dash (which I already have)
Changing the broken windshield (i found one in good condition also)
Painting and restoring the rims (which i have on the garage)

later on:
Red and black paint scheme
Supercharge it

Hmmmm, it looks like a floor bar but if attached to the roof it might do the trick aslo...

Where does you sidemirrors come from? They doesnt look stock, but they sure look nice

They look stock to me?

yes, it's the floor bar, and yes, it doesn't block that much the rear view mirror.

yes, side mirrors are from the JDM AE92. Only thing is i had to drill an extra hole on the car to make it fit and shave the corner. Other than that, it was a direct bolt on on the electric part.
