What have you done with N vacuum pipe? I Cannot see it connected to intake throttle body...
Little advice: Put plastic timing belt cover asap, otherwise you will have dirt&dust deposits very soon (I had this problem).

I'm planning to put escort mk3 arches in few weeks as well! It looks OK, not so wide like golf mk1.

I used that engine without the cover for over a year and never had any problems


Escort MK3 arches are perfect for a hachi, I dont like the golf ones either...

Last summer I bought a slightly used Blacktop 20 engine conversed to an AE86. I'm 100% satisfied with it, low consumption, huge power (compared to the old engine ) so it was a good deal.

This was the project for this summer:



All this sh*t went into the car

RX7 FC brakes for the front, Corolla E12 brakes for the rear, Cooper S and Primera discs, Goodridge brake lines, wilwood hydraulic Ebrake, Mocal oil cooler (19row), and new oils...




And at last, 8kg/mm coilover springs to the front...now the hangling is brilliant, WAY better than before with the 6kg at the front...
