Why 1.3mm? do you want to go on turbo?
On ebay you can find some HKS it's are 1.6mm

sure about that? i know about a RX-7 (ok not a Hachi) where the engine was destroyed because the thermostat failed ->no cooling. i would never buy a oil cooler with thermostat for my cars because of that reason.

Thermostatic valves for oil coolers are very simple devices it would be very rare indeed for one to fail. I've never heard of anyone having a problem.

Also running with a non-thermostatic cooler setup is a bad idea as the oil may never heat up. Think how cold Russian winters are!

So, I would say a thermostatic oil cooler is an absolute must.

Thanks a lot ))) but this is my second car and i don't want to use levin in winter time!!! Now i try to win setrab oil cooler on ebay! And todsy i won two apexi el gauges!!! Oil pressure and coolant temp! Very happy )))

I'd still only run thermostatic. I really wouldn't consider running an oil cooler without it.
