AE86 halfshaft types?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the difference in halfshafts between early and late type? Splines, diameter and lenght? Do non-LSD axles have longer shafts? Tried to search for info but couldnt find it. Thanks |

difference in spline/ diameter (kouki 25,3 mm zenki 24mm)
Yes, longer shafts on factory non LSD AE86, which I belive were never sold in Europe! German AE86 cam with a 25% LSD 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |

Yes but not with an angle ginder, cause that fucks up the hardening! Any half decent machine shop can do it

But they are same diameter/spline count, just a bit longer towards/in differential.

Yeap, iirc its about 5mm longer, but I think I remember that this is only a problem if you go with TRD LSD´s? Kaaz and others should work without shortening, but you definalty should confirm this by somebody else...
