AE92 injectors?
Hmm...13 ohms isnt exactly high impedance either.
It would be interesting to know what voltage the ecu puts out to the injectors. A quick calculation shows that for low impedance injectors there is almost certainly a resistor pack: assuming 12v, 2 ohm you get 12/2=6A of current, which makes for a max. power output of 72 Watts. 6A is way too much for an ECU to put out.. 13 ohm injectors on the other hand would just use 0.9A at 12v, which sounds like a more realistic value for an ECU output. So if there's no separate resistor pack then they must be implemented somewhere in the ECU. If that's not the case then there's a chance that the beige injectors run on a lower voltage, making life very difficult if you want to run higher impedance injectors. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

AE92 injectors?
Quote:6A is way too much for an ECU to put out..This is not too much - these numbers are realistic. filh, PM Kristian about this problem. Some AE86 haven't resistor boxes (almost all USA spec. ones have). PS: If you can't resolve the problem, swap these injectors for Honda ones - most of them fit to rail, are low-impedance and can go over 200cc. |

AE92 injectors?
Thanks for the Honda advice, But I still don't know if I have a resistor pack , and if yes , where is it located ? I know it's a yellow connector .
I guess , if I have 2 ohms injector , that 13ohms won't work. By the way , does anybody knows if the injectors connectors are available ? Mine (brown injectors ) are differents from the green I bought.. Filh Filh Save the RWD cars |

AE92 injectors?
Filh, as I read in Club4AG forums, the resistor pack can be found under the AFM sensor (USA specs are AFM, most EU are MAP).
Your car can work even with 13 ohm ones but (again from Club4AG) with problems. If your car haven't resistor pack, maybe you should try using some resistors (25-50W, 5-10ohm) in parallel with injectors (don't know if it works - the risk is yours, there is a risk of ECU's injector drivers damage too). About connectors - I have the same problem with 7MGTE injectors - no connectors :-( |
