AEU86 Meet 2007
Hey guys,

Kid already mentioned nurburgring. I was just talking to Alex on ICQ and he came up with an idea that really was to my liking so what do you think about this plan.

Time period we're thing about is late may, early june. we don't want to late into the summer because it will be to busy, we could also do end of the summer just like the last BBQ meet but I think early summer late spring would be a nicer time for this.

Anyways, we pick a weekend, preferably a non holiday weekend. On saterday late morning, around lunch time we meet somewhere around vaals, probably at the 3 landen punt there. Its on the top of a mountain (really great mountain road Wink ), big parking lot, nice place to have a bit of a walk around, eat some lunch, have a talk, etc.

We then go for a nice little scenic drive around the country side. I still have a route lying around from an old DeLorean drive we had around that area. There are some GREAT roads in that area, all hills, not much traffic, should be great fun. We end up at some nice camping site, and setup our barbeque there. Sleep over for those that want to.
Offcourse if we have other ideas for the drive suggestions are welcome. I'm sure there are other things in that area like karting or whatever.

On sunday morning we pack up, hop in our cars and drive into germany to the nurburgring, from Vaals its roughly 1.5 hours drive there. We'll need to set off early to be at the ring in time. We'll have our fun there and leave for home when we've had enough.

offcourse like last time all bits are optional, if you're only interested in the barbeque, only come for barbeque, only interested in the ring, we'll meet you at the ring, etc.

Do keep in mind, sunday's at the ring are busy and hachi's do top out on the ring and can be dangerous cars there. Don't feel forced to drive there, it can be just as much fun just to look around.

Owh last but not least. Don't forget I'm expected to become a daddy around that time so we need to plan the date carefully and not to close to the first 2 weeks of june or my wife will never forgive me Smile

This sounds interesting. I'm interested depending on the date and final budget of travelling from Greece (probably alone).

Dorito,

We try and keep our meetings as low budget as possible, take into account that it will cost you between 10 - 15 euro's for the barbeque and around 10 euro's for the camping costs (more if you prefer a cottage or hotel).

Entry at 3 landen punt is free. If we go to a kart centre it will cost money to join in offcourse.

Also keep some money asside for lunch and breakfast but you make that as expensive as you want.

A lap around the nurburgring is 12 or 14 euro's or something I believe. It gets cheaper if you take a multiple lap card. You can offcourse buy one together with someone else to save a few euros.

The rest offcourse depends on your travel costs which will be way more from Greece. If you drive down that will be a couple of tanks of gas. If you fly in it depends on whether there are budget flights available from where you live.

There are plenty of hachi owners living around the major airports in Amsterdam to arange pickups and I'm sure some of the german hachi owners that will hopefully come live near enough to a major german airport.

Also one or two hachi owners in Holland live close to the Dutch ports for any of the UK members that feel like driving sailing over.

Added a pole to get a general feel of when we should do this.

I did not include early june because of my daddy plans.

I also did not include mid summer because most people will be on vacation anyways and I think its a terrible time to go to the ring.

*edit*,
late may would most like be 19/20th of may
late june would be 23/24th of june
late august would be 25th /26th
september would be 1st/2nd of september or 8th/9th of september.
