Ae86 Horsepower Calculation....
i took the time to figure this out......i hope this will help you guys out in your projects.... 4ac's - 2jz's
these are (( rounded figures )) in what you need in Horsepower in 1/4 mile times....

The Elapse Time Method:
This method uses the weight of the car and the time it took that car to travel 1330 feet (ΒΌ mile).
The formula is: hp = weight / (ET / 5.825)3

avg ae86 body coupe/hatch 2400lbs avg fat/muscle person 200lbs = 2600lbs

((( these times are based on a 2600lbs car if its lighter or heavier your HP will change)))
and yes variables to apply equipment, weather, & how power is applied...
7.0 sec = 1498 hp
7.5 sec = 1218 hp
8.0 sec = 1004 hp
8.5 sec = 837 hp
9.0 sec = 705 hp
9.5 sec = 599 hp
10. sec = 514 hp
10.5 sec = 444 hp
11.0 sec = 386 hp
11.5 sec = 338 hp
12.0 sec = 297 hp
12.5 sec = 263 hp
13.0 sec = 234 hp
13.5 sec = 209 hp
14.0 sec = 187 hp
14.5 sec = 169 hp
15.0 sec = 152 hp
15.5 sec = 138 hp
16.0 sec = 125 hp
16.5 sec = 114 hp
17.0 sec = 105 hp
17.5 sec = 096 hp
18.0 sec = 088 hp
18.5 sec = 081 hp
19.0 sec = 075 hp
19.5 sec = 069 hp
20.0 sec = 064 hp

Ae86 Horsepower Calculation....
You do realize that tires, suspension setup, engine build up, chassis, drivetrain, gearbox(Ratios, automatic gearbox turbine ect.) and about everything else also has an effect on your 1/4 time? Not even mentioning the driver. Cant really just count on the horsepower mate.. Just use a dyno man.. Cool

Ae86 Horsepower Calculation....
yes i do realize that weather, equipment and how power is applied comes into play......
but if you sit there and do the math....the figures will come close.....
as a matter i ran 14 w/ my GZE and my hp is around 180's...so its pretty damn close
this method is not the most accurate but a pretty good base line in horse power....so people can figure what is needed

when you got figures ...you come & talk
actual weight
trap speed
elapsed time

What? Either every specs page and my car's papers are really way off, or you might have mixed up something there.
