Alternator probs?

Just swapped in Mux's spare alternator... looks like it's a FWD model..it fits but all the connector locations are upside down and the pulley is smaller, so basically an overdrive pulley
I'm just glad to be on my way again.. thanks Mux..

You could swap the internals, if you experience some problems Ivan.

I doubt that it's possible, with the different connector locations, but you never know. For now the FWD alternator is doing it's job. Charges at around 14volts, not the highest I've seen but it's the current that counts.
Took the car to work this morning without any troubles (120 km's).

I've also had a peek inside the broken alternator, no signs of any burning or serious damage, I'll take the brush and diode assembly off next time I have time to spare, might be an easy fix.

Regarding the alternator - I trully believe it is nothing big with it and it can be fixed.

No, I just go to my parents every weekend, moved away 1,5 years ago, most of my friends are over there. I drive about 500km's/week on average (the engine takes about a liter of oil every two weeks at the moment...time to swap the next one in).
