Another Hachi fan...
Hello guys,
it's been quite a long time since I registered on this forum, but I finally managed to write something. As a long time AE86 lover, I decided to buy my own car and rebuild it to as original condition as possible. I got info of a two-tone, silver coupe with black bumpers sitting in a place owned by a Turkish guy in Berlin. The car was reported to be in nice body condition, and it seems that it's an almost completely original 1985 standard 4A-GE powered GT model with a black interior, a car I've been searching for ever since I remember. It hasn't been fired up for a long time, and I'm afraid that when it's going to arrive I'll have to make a full engine rebuild. Anyway, has anybody heard of this car? The price is about 500 Euro. Even though it's cheap, it doesn't have any papers, so registering in Poland might be quite troublesome... I'll try to get some pictures of it as soon as possible, and after that I'm going to post it here. I'm glad I found this forum - it's nice to be able to talk to so many AE86 enthusiasts from whole Europe. Best regards, Tony from Poland. Ahhh, VTEC. All the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex. |

Hi and is it wrong to say welcome...?
That sounds like a real bargain! I hope that the car is in as good condition as it seems and that you won't have too much trouble getting it back on the road again. You must take lots and lots of pictures so that you can drive us crazy! Best Regards, |

Even if it won't run, I don't plan on to leave it AS IS, just to make it moving. Oh, no! I hope it will run better than stock, at least just a bit. From what I've seen across the Internet, it seems that it's not a bad price for that kind of condition. I'll try to update you guys as soon as possible.
And BTW: I've been to Sweden last month, and DANG! You guys have some nice girls over there... Ahhh, VTEC. All the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex. |

500 euros? I'd buy it for sure, even if it wont end up worth restoring just the spare parts is worth twice that much.
But who knows, if the shell is good (i.e. not much rust) and you can get it on papers, then its a great buy. Engines are easy enough to find in case the one in there turns out to have died with no hope of resurrection. Good luck! Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

500 euros is indeed a bargain.
I've never heard of the car, but then again: most German ae86 owners are on the toyota.de site and not here. Maybe we should lure them here. If it arrives, open a topic in the projects subforum. We are curious ofcourse.
