dazed_driver Wrote:Hey, how did you do/attach your skid plate? What about other underbody? Do you have any pictures?

where the two front tow hooks mount to the front, i welded a peice of chrome moly between them, with two threaded inserts welded to that, then welded 4mm plate to the cross member with two more 10mm inserts..then bent the ally up to fit, bolt it on Smile

you can see in the pic of it behind the gearbox, the silver painted tube Smile

Interesting... so you're running a front sway bar? And if you want answer the PM here, I just pm'd as it was quicker then finding your thread, haha.

Sorry to hear about the gearbox! that really blows.

Wow, I could have sworn I had an account here... I guess I'm the new guy Sad

im onto answering your pm, just finding out what the correct range is for the double progressive springs...

and yeah, 24mm front bar, no rear bar (was running the stock f & r before)
now the car sits more flat while the rear end twists underneath it, getting more power down Smile

before it was just trying to fight itself

Hmm.. Have you tried no front sway bar? I've heard thats a pretty good setup on gravel for RWD cars... But I havent really tested it. I suppose I could take the street ae86 to the mountains hahaha Huh

I'll be sure to test front sway, no rear. And thanks for working on that pm!

UPDATE:

Rally on the weekend. Committed more than I ever had before. Was coming 4th 2wd overall...beating many 4wd's...for a car with a standard donk i think thats ok Smile

but, SS2, cutting all those corners resulted in the lf shock shearing off in the housing Sad

im about 4.25 in - 1st corner of the first stage...i came it WAY too hot
