i have question about 3sge and w58 geabox.

i have chance to buy gearbox from supra mk3 (i hope its w58)how i can determine that?

and another thing is 3sge engine that i have found in wrecked celica st18

turborolla: what i need to bolt these two things together?
and what to runing this engine in ae86?

will the kardan shaft fit the w58 without any modifications, and what about tranny mounts?

Basically it is al custom work that you'll have to do..new motormounts, new trannymount or relocate current mounts, new oilpan, custom 3S to W bellhousing, prolly also a shortened prop-shaft, but you can probably source one from a different model that will fit...

It is a shitload of work, although some parts can be sourced from manufacturers. Rhett on the forums sells 3S conversion bellhousings and oilpans. I wouldn't bother with the work for an ordinary 3SGE...might as well drop in a high hp version or a turbo.

yes but i think NA is better for hachiroku, and i have w58 for little money the guy put 164hd gearbox in his supra and single turbo mgte with 480hp.

And the engine? i dont know what i choose but 3sge is good idea(i found wrecked celica st180), it has 178hp and with minor mods its possible to get 190-200hp from it.

The 180hp versions of the 3sgte were mostly delivered in a mk2 MR2 package I think...If its the older version 3SGE it has no chance in hell of reaching those hp numbers with just bolt-ons...

there is a "Beams" modification of 3SGE mostly from JDM Altezzas.
NA and ~200Hp in stock. that shows the potencial of this engine.
btw, well known billzilla got this one in his hachi.

I wouldn't bother with the old celica version...The money involved with changing the engine to RWD setup is to much considering its relatively low hp output...200hp with minor mods is impossible..you are talking cams+standalone ecu to get to those levels.

you could try to build an opel 2.0 16v, but even those are expensive to convert to RWD..There is also the Alfa 2.0 twinspark..but those aren't that powerfull either.
