Does anyone know what could be wrong? I drive approx. 9 km/ltr and it smells kinda like unburned fuel when i stop at red light (not just at red light  )
I have a friend who drives 13-14 km/ltr in her Mr2, i would like that to! Youtube Myspace and I´ll Google your Yahoo |

Hey Knudsen,
When I drive normally and mostly freeway then I also get about 13km per liter with the hachi. Once I drive in the city that drops down to around 10km per liter. Then again, smelling gas isn't the best thing (although I have noticed that once or twice after some hard driving aswell).. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

That's strange.
A friend of mine NEVER came below 12km per liter. And he's not an economic driver at all. He tried to drive fuelsafe for a few times and reached 15 km per liter with his hachi! The consumtpion falls if i use Shell v-power Racing 100 (450kms with a full tank).
Good high-reving but i have a question ... Is it good for the engine (because of being unleaded) or should i use Pb additives with the unleaded gasolines? Thanks AE86 FANATIC!!! |

I have the same problem Knudsen (at least with the smell of petrol, not so sure about mileage) and I believe it maybe a cracking pipe under the bonnet that may be leaking fumes (maybe even petrol ). I really need to get it replaced but if doesnt help then I will keep an eye on this thread just in case.

If you smell petrol, I would start by checking the inlet pipe, petrol nozzles and their o-rings.
BTW I hope these are the right english terms Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch |
