Black Limited restoration
Hey guys, bit of an update since i last posted

I wasn't having a very good time in australia so without enough thought I decided I wanted to leave. I sold both my Levin and all my parts, paid off all my debt and saved a lot of money with the intention of moving somewhere new

After a few months of thought I decided realistically australia would be the best place to stay at the moment.. and after being without an ae86 and feeling like I was missing a dear friend, I decided to buy one that I would want to keep.

About 6 months earlier I was offered a rough black limited trueno that a friend had bought in Japan. I had just sold my adm at that time so I had the money to buy it, but after much thought I decided to turn it down, the timing wasn't right.. felt rather stupid to turn down such a rare car but at that time it wasn't meant to be.

My friend decided to keep the car, as he really wanted to restore it himself. A month ago he mentioned that he really couldn't keep it over there forever (he lives in Australia too) and that he had decided to sell it again.

I pondered a little over it, then one day I saw he placed an ad on a forum, it was now or never. I was in a much better place this time around so I decided to buy it!

Its a 1987, sprayed an orangey/bronze colour. From what I know it has rust in the a pillars, the hatch is rusted and it has a dent in the roof, this is the main photo I have of the car

Luckily for me he was bringing a container in full of parts and there was just enough room to fit the car in too!

Here's a shot before it left Japan, sitting in the company of Nakamuras old shell Smile

It arrived in australia on Friday and the container is currently going through customs etc, before the end of the week I should be able to drive it around a bit and see how it is Smile

The car obviously needs full panel and respray back to 204, it has the cluster, the seats, the taillight panel but no steering wheel, gearknob, badge etc.. I already have quite a few parts tucked away for it, most of which I had bought before I knew I was going to buy this.

If anyone has brand new black limited gearknob, taillight panel or set of decals and pinstripes hidden away I would love to hear from you! I may already have decals and pinstripes lined up, just waiting on confirmation ^^

This shall be an exciting build! A car I will find great pleasure in returning to its former glory, and a car to keep!

Thanks for reading, pics, details and hopefully a video when I get to the car later in the week!
