Bluetop 4age(C) identifying

Hi,
under the hood of my ae86 bluetop there's a label. There's engine scheme with sensors etc. written on it and also says 4agec.

I've read that C stands for emission control. So it might take some power away. So how do I know if my engine is really C (4ageC) and not 4age (without C)?

Is it possible to convert it to 4age (without C) or to put away the emission system (to gain some power) or there should be changed also ECU, sensors, etc.?

And another thing:
Do your bluetop engines have Tvis (I'm not sure, but on mux's pictures there's no tvis)? Mine has got it.

Usually emission control systems utilise some sort of exhaust gas recirculation system. That should be easy to spot, just look for a system of tubes leading from the exhaust manifold, through some canisters, to the intake.

Thats also about the only emissions system your car probably has. I've only seen the EVAP canisters on american and japanese cars. Maybe you have a catalysator as well, but most ae86's I know of dont have one.

Now the car doesn't have a catalisator, but the exhaust pipes were changed. But I hope also in original the car didn't have a catalisator...

Ivan141 do you have a blue top engine? Do you have tvis?

Yes, I have a TVIS bluetop (though it came with the ae92 black/red letter on the camcovers).
I took off the EGR system that the engine originally had when it came out an ae92. My ae86 didnt have any emissions control.
